In New England during early summer, the fruit looks like candy in the grocery store. Without even thinking, I scoop up fresh raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, apples, grapes, dates, melons into my cart. Today I made a delicious healthy smoothie. Simple, and easy clean-up using an immersion blender!
Early Summer Smoothie
Put the following into a plastic cup that comes with the immersion blender:
Cut up 4-5 large strawberries into discs (no greenery)
Add 6-8 oz. of skim milk
Add 3 tablespoons of 2% Fage greek yogurt (plain style)
Sprinkle half a packet of Splenda
Top with 7-8 large raspberries
(Optional) Scoop of vanilla whey protein powder from Trader Joe’s (all natural kind)
Blend with immersion blender. Drink and enjoy!
